African American Healthy Volunteer Study

Birth Control Study
Volunteers needed for an oral contraception study.
Qualified participants will receive study related exams and the study medication at no cost. Qualified participants will receive up to $2,000 for time and travel over the course of the study. Qualified Participants Must:
Be between 18 and 35 years of age
Be seeking contraception
Bunion Removal Study
Do you have a bunion needing removal? You may qualify for our upcoming bunionectomy study. The study involves testing new medications after your bunion removal. The study requires you to stay with us in our inpatient facility for 48 hours after your surgery in order to collect important data regarding the new medication.
Celiac Disease Study
Volunteers are needed for a clinical research study focusing on Celiac Disease.
Qualified participants will receive study-related exams and the investigational medication at no cost. Participants may receive compensation for time and travel.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be between 18 and 75 years of age
Have a diagnosis of Celiac Disease
Have been following a gluten-free diet for at least 6 months
Be willing to participate in study-related procedures and visits
Crohn’s Disease
As part of a clinical study for Crohn’s disease, you’ll begin with a detailed evaluation by a board-certified gastroenterologist. If you meet the study criteria, you could have access to a new investigational therapy designed to target the underlying causes of flare-ups and improve daily quality of life. Participation may involve routine monitoring and occasional overnight stays at our research center so we can carefully track your progress and gather valuable insights for future treatments.
Compensation up to $1,000.
Diabetic Foot Ulcer Study
Volunteers are needed for a clinical research study focusing on diabetic foot ulcers.
Qualified participants will receive study-related exams and the investigational medication at no cost. Participants may receive compensation for time and travel.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be between 18 and 75 years of age
Have a diagnosis of Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
Have a diabetic foot ulcer
Be in good general health, apart from the ulcer
Diabetic Gastroparesis Study
Volunteers are needed for a clinical research study focusing on diabetic gastroparesis. Qualified participants will receive study-related exams and the investigational medication at no cost. Participants may receive compensation for time and travel.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be between 18 and 75 years of age
Have a diagnosis of Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
Experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, bloating, or early satiety
Have documented delayed gastric emptying within the last 2 years
Fatty Liver Screening Study
Volunteers are needed for a clinical research study focusing on fatty liver disease. Qualified participants will receive study-related exams and investigational medication at no cost. Participants may receive compensation for time and travel.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be between 18 and 75 years of age
Have a diagnosis of fatty liver disease or NASH (Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis)
Meet additional criteria as specified by the study
Flu/COVID Home Test Kits
Are you experiencing any flu-like symptoms? You may qualify to participate in our FLU/COVID Home test kit study. The test is for a one time nasal swab. You will be compensated $100.
Graves' Disease Study

Heartburn Study
We are seeking volunteers for a new study for people with frequent heartburn. To Qualify:
Be over the age of 18
Have heartburn four or more times per week
Willing to get an endoscopy at no cost
Willing to keep a daily diary
High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) Study
Volunteers are needed for a hypertension research study. Qualified volunteers may receive: Reimbursement for time and travel, compensation up to $2,200
To qualify you must be: 18 years or older with untreated hypertension or on stable therapy with up to 2 antihypertensive medications.
High Cholesterol Study
Volunteers are needed for a clinical research study focusing on high cholesterol. Qualified participants will receive study-related exams and investigational medication at no cost. Participants may receive compensation for time and travel.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be between 18 and 75 years of age
Have elevated cholesterol levels
Not be currently taking cholesterol-lowering medications
Hot Flashes Study
Hot flashes and night sweats are bothersome symptoms of menopause that researchers are targeting, and we need volunteers like you to find effective treatments! Compensation up to $3000.
You may be eligible for our study if:
You have gone through menopause (stopped having periods).
You have 1 or more hot flashes per day.
Qualified participants will receive trial-related medications and medical care at no cost.
Hypothyroidism Study
Volunteers are needed for a clinical research study focusing on hypothyroidism. Qualified participants will receive study-related exams and investigational medication at no cost. Participants may receive compensation for time and travel.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be between 18 and 75 years of age
Have been diagnosed with primary hypothyroidism for at least 6 months
Low Testosterone Study
Symptoms of low testosterone can include increased fatigue, decreased muscle mass, decreased body hair, difficulty sleeping and increased sadness in addition to decreased sexual desire. Men who are struggling with low testosterone may qualify for upcoming clinical studies to help physicians evaluate potential new treatment options. men who qualify and participate may see a physician or medical staff at no cost.
Qualified participants must: Be an adult male diagnosed with or have symptoms of low testosterone.
Obesity Study
If you struggle with obesity and have been unable to achieve your weight loss goals through diet and exercise alone, you may qualify for our obesity study. We are testing new treatments and medications aimed at helping individuals reduce weight and improve their overall health.
Qualified participants must:
Be between 18 and 65 years of age
Have a BMI of 30 or higher
Be willing to make lifestyle changes under medical supervision
Low Back Pain Study
If you suffer from chronic low back pain, we are currently seeking volunteers for a new clinical study. This research aims to find more effective treatments for individuals dealing with persistent back pain. Participants will receive study-related medications, exams, and care at no cost.
Qualified participants must:
Be 18 years or older
Have experienced low back pain for at least 3 months
Not be currently pregnant or breastfeeding
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
When you have a tummy tuck as part of the study, you will complete a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon and, if you qualify for the study, they will perform your surgery. The research we conduct typically involves testing new medications after your tummy tuck. The studies typically require you to stay in our inpatient facility for 48 hours after your surgery in order to collect important data regarding the new medication.
Obesity
When you participate in the study for obesity, you will first complete a consultation with a board-certified physician who specializes in weight management. If you qualify for the study, you will receive treatment as part of a research program focused on managing obesity. The research typically involves testing new medications or therapies designed to support weight loss and improve metabolic health. Most studies require short stays at our research facility so we can safely monitor your response and collect important data about the treatment’s effectiveness.
Type 2 Diabetes Study
Seeking volunteers with inadequately controlled T2DM on diet control alone or on diet control and metformin and/or other diabetic medications. Compensation up to $1800.
To Qualify:
Be between the ages of 18 and 75
Be on one of the treatment options above
Have an A1c between 7.0 – 9.0%
Ulcerative colitis
If you choose to take part in a study for ulcerative colitis, you’ll start with a consultation with a board-certified gastroenterologist. If you’re eligible, you may receive an investigational treatment designed to help manage symptoms and reduce inflammation. These studies help us better understand new therapies, and may include regular visits or short stays at our facility so we can closely monitor your progress and gather important health information.
